Dreaming Of Motorists

I rarely do this, but I'm going to share w/ you a little dream I had early this morning while trying not to wake up, in those critical hours. I dreamt I was walking around Greensboro, NC and it was on Lee street near the Wendy's and all the ghetto gas stations / tattoo parlors. I walked into this new small record store which was occupying the former Baluba's African Market building. There was a small stage set up at the far end of the store and a drummer was setting up. It was really crowded w/ lots of younger college kids. I asked the owner of the store who was about to play and he said Swearing At Motorists; just then I saw Dave Doughman, singer for S@M saunter sketchily through the crowd and I grabbed his arm. "Dave, it's me, remember when you stayed on my floor and I recorded you guys on my radio show?" It took him a while to remember who I was, but once he did we talked about how things were going w/ his new family life in Berlin, and he told me he got a new drummer, etc. which was kind of a bummer to me because I like Joseph Siwinski. They had their new album for sale, which was a secret so i ran to find an ATM and along the way I was shouting at strangers to come watch the best live band they'd ever seen perform in a tiny record shop. I was so excited to get back and see the rare performance when I woke up. On the way to work I listened to THIS record. I especially felt good while listening to this song:

I really wish I had gotten to see that show in my dream, I bet it would've been one of their best. If you're still reading and you liked that song, go HERE and become a fan of Swearing At Motorists, but be careful, you may find yourself writing sycophantic bog posts about how much their music means to you.
