The Yardbirds - Dazed and Confused

I've been on a HUGE Led Zeppelin kick lately (mostly Houses of The Holy - Dancing Days and No Quarter are my current jams). It's funny, my parents never really played this stuff in the house when I was growing up, mostly it was the Who and the Beatles and Stones, so I kinda missed out on Zeppelin. In high school it was kinda lame to like them unless you were a real stoner and I was more interested in punk at the time.....I also just picked up a Yardbirds Greatest Hits cd from the library, so I've been checking that out, mostly for the pre-Zep Jimmy Page.

This video is hilarious - they hadn't figured out how to nail this song yet, which Zeppelin eventually perfected. It's just sad to see the singer try and stay in the spotlight with his shitty vocal vamping and harmonica noise, and then Page just fucking cuts him off mid-stream. lol!
