I want a Range Life

So Embarrassing Fruits has been asked to play a cover show as Pavement, as if that's all we're capable of pulling off. Well I just listened to a sampling of most of their catalog on my way to work and boy that shit is difficult! I don't know if I can master the sarcastic snicker of Malkmus, or whether we can rhythmically wrangle their tangled web of bratty college radio classics. That aside, I kinda just wanna enjoy their music for what it is, not emulate it!!!! Man I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place. What if we make fools of ourselves, then people will say "Yeah they kinda have that Pavement thing going on, but not as creative" In general I think cover shows are lame for this reason...but I guess we should just get drunk and stumble through Summer Girl and then get off stage and get our cash. Anyways, it made me wanna search for a live video. MTVMUSIC.COM
is a site run by Music Television that archives every video that has ever been on that channel. There's some pretty good shit on there. Anyways, I found this video of Pavement playing Unfair
in some sort of sound stage that reminds me of the alternative dayz of Nirvana and when I actually could just be a music fan. Enjoy
