Marmoset is an Indianapolis band that plays lo-fi, deranged pop that to me sounds like The Velvets mixed with The Fall, only happier and more Beatles-esque. They began in the 90's with the lineup of bassist/vocalist Jorma Whittaker, guitarist LonPaul Ellrich, guitarist/vocalist Dave Jablonski, and drummer Jason Cavan.
Anyways, I discovered them while filing through the stacks of WUAG- the college radio station I worked at for 4 years at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The one album we had was 1999's Today It's You which I also highly reccommend. So the point of this is? Here's a really hillarious music video I found the other day at work while cruising Youtube. It's for their song Candyspots off their latest offering Florist Fired.
This album was pretty much the one thing that constantly stayed in my car stereo last year, and still remains in heavy rotation in my headphoned work days in my cubicle.
