A Few of My Fav Muzik Vidz
Gary Wilson - Gary's in The Park. Made on the cheap and I think the outcome is simple and creepy.
(thanks Michael B. for turning me onto this mad genius)
Saw Ariel Pink bust some hot jamzzz on Pitchfork TV and then Grey forwarded me this one. So strange/good.
Beck - Pay No Mind, off his best album: Mellow Gold. What could be better than skateboarding, creepy old ladies w/ fancy mixed drinks, and weird old stock footage? Mix that in w/ some neon green campfire footage and you got a hit.
Motorhead - Killed By Death..Great song title, great metal video. When the motorcycle busts through the wall it just kills me! And wait for the surprise ending...
Pavement - Stereo. Man, I can't say enough about how much I like this video - Bob Nastanovich pretending like he plays guitar, the sweet fall-themed set, SM's bratty delivery as front man, good vibes; perfect for late Fall/early Spring. Pavement has a ton of good vidz - Gold Soundz, Range Life, Shady Lane.... This one just kinda sticks out to me.
Sloan - The Good In Everyone. I saw this video on MTV's 120 Minutes when I was a kid and it made me want to start a band. They look so cool and apathetic! I recommend this album "One Chord To Another" otherwise the rest of their stuff kinda sucks...
Beastie Boys - Sure Shot. CLASSIC 90's vid! A real trend setter for hip hop videos to come. I love the pool scene & when they jump up and grab hold of the camera. What can I say? I got a soft spot for these boyz.
